Community Engagement

​Community engagement can support an in depth site analysis and survey of existing facilities.  Engagement and community-led design can enable people to participate in the design of their local area.

 

Emily Haysom runs community engagement and design workshops on behalf of architects, councils and community groups.  She can tailor workshops to suit all ages and abilities.  

 

Running Events

Emily has set up and run regular networking events, community groups and workshops including art and craft, cookery and Ely English Language Cafe, which is running independently 10 years on. 

Between 2012 and 2014 Emily Haysom ran a community forum for the North West developments in Cambridge, liaising with residents, Councils, and developers, on behalf of Cambridge City Council.  She also ran regular network lunches to aid communication between groups.

 

Community Strategy

Research, report writing and training.

Previous commissions include

- Community analysis  and engagement strategy for architects and developers.

- Equality and Diversity research: 

'Supporting Migrant Workers in Private Rented Accommodation',  2011.  Research on behalf of East Cambridgeshire District Council, contributing to local and national strategy.

Traveller/Firefighter engagement project for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service 2010
